I finally found my first Barber Half Dollar and boy was she a pretty thing, it was about 7 inches down under a tree at one of our favorite places to detect. Also found a few other coins and some neat artifacts, probably the last hunt of the season with winter around the corner. You can watch the Awesome findings with us Here:

Having fun at a seeded hunt in Topeka Kansas
Posted by Nathan Schwenke on
Had a blast at a seeded hunt put on near Topeka Kansas by the Topeka Treasure Hunters Club. This hunt is put on every year around the end of may and has about 100 people going for treasure, Nate the Digger didn't do to bad with a real nice 105 coin haul that included over 50 silver coins! Can't wait until next year!
Bruce the Digger lands his first Silver Dollar!

Went out for a weeks long treasure hunt and Bruce the Digger landed something he has never found in over 30 years of Treasure Hunting, a nice shiny 1900-s Silver Dollar! Found at a old park near Beatrice, Nebraska. This nice old coin was also only 3 inches deep! It might be a find of a lifetime.... for now anyway.
Lots of Clad found at state Park

Decided to try a state park about 1 hour north of Lincoln and ended up doing quite well for the clad, approximately 150 coins or so, but no silver on this trip. Quite a few early 1970's coins and some late 1960's but no silver. The picture below is all of the clad that we found.
